Satellite Connections

EyeSatellite
EyeSatellite is the latest 2-way satellite internet service from EyeWiMAX.
The service makes 2-way satellite internet affordable as well as accessible for Rural and Remote locations anywhere in the UK or Europe.
Covorage is no longer an issue if you have previously had problems receiving a Cable or Landline

How does it work?
The Astra 1E satellite is located at 23.5E. The hub is at Astra’s HQ in Luxembourg where it is connected to the internet backbone and from where it transmits to the satellite.
Your EyeSAT dish plus iLNB is the link between the satellite and the satmodem connected to your computer.

Where will it work?
Here is the footprint of the beam from Astra 1E on which the service is carried. If you have a clear view of the southern sky from the place where you can install your ASTRA2Connect dish, the service will reach anywhere in this footprint.

What do I need?
The system comes complete with everything you need to get connected:

What must I pay for?
There’s a one-off Connection Charge when we first set you up on the system. Then you need to buy the system which comes complete in one transport carton. We recommend you have it installed professionally although it does include the unique “Point & Play” audio alignment meter for a DIY install. You will also need to provide a secure 60mm pole on which to mount the dish.

What’s the difference between the Service Levels?
Each Service Level offers a different inbound and outbound speed, similarly to ADSL. There is a Fair Use Policy to protect all users. At Peak Time (evenings and weekends), the FUP may apply a variable speed limit depending on overall network loading at the time. The speed limit depends on how much you have downloaded during the month. It does not limit the total volume which you are able to download per month. Outside Peak Hours or if the FUP is not triggered by network loading, your service speeds should not be affected no matter how much you have downloaded.
